Cosmo Kajigaya Le Seine has introduced NMR pipe protectors to prevent red rust in piping.

The management association of "Cosmo Kajigaya Le Seine" has verified the prevention of red rust deterioration in water supply pipes using the red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector," ensuring long-term pipe longevity.

In the condominium "Cosmo Kajigaya Le Seine," which introduced the NMR Pipe Protector, polyvinyl chloride lined steel pipes (VLP) were used for the water supply piping. Polyvinyl chloride lined steel pipes (VLP) are pipes that are internally coated with polyvinyl chloride. The joint sections of the piping deteriorate due to red rust, but the straight sections are excellent in durability and corrosion resistance, and are currently used in most buildings' water supply pipes. However, this water supply piping has high maintenance costs, and after several decades of installation, measures against water leaks due to red rust at the joints are necessary. Many water supply pipes experience issues such as red rust blockage at the joint sections, water leaks, and deterioration of water quality after twenty years. The NMR Pipe Protector converts red rust into black rust, resolving these issues. Unlike pipe renewal work, the NMR Pipe Protector can be installed without water interruption, transforming the red rust inside the water supply pipes into black rust that strengthens the piping.
