"BioClean" is a non-toxic, environmentally friendly anti-fouling paint that prevents the attachment of fouling organisms to seawater equipment and various facilities in marine environments. Its surface structure features a micro-phase separation that is hydrophobic-hydrophilic, forming a smooth surface similar to the skin of fish such as dolphins and eels. This surface structure induces the suppression of the coagulation of protein-like adhesive cement components secreted by fouling organisms, reduces adhesion strength, and causes larvae to slip off, thereby preventing the attachment of shells and seaweeds.
