USB-Compatible Warning Light "Anywhere Keiko-chan" 【DN-1600U/UD】

ISA Corporation (abbreviated as ISA, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, President: Koji Yanagihara) will launch the USB bus-powered warning light "Keiko-chan 7UX" on January 10, 2023. The "Keiko-chan 7UX" has been developed as a successor to the three-light model "Keiko-chan 4UX," which was discontinued in August 2022, in response to the long-awaited requests from repeat customers. This popular warning light, which can be powered and controlled via a USB cable, retains the basic functions of the 4UX, while the 7UX introduces two new interface options: a type that connects only via USB (DN-1770UX) and a type that connects via USB and contact input (DI) (DN-1780UX). Both models can be controlled as external commands using a dedicated command tool for Windows, allowing control through command prompts, batch files, or applications. Additionally, control can be performed from Linux through device files. For example, on a production line, it can alert workers and those nearby about the "status" using lamps or buzzers, and in server rooms, it can notify about "abnormal conditions" in combination with temperature sensors, assisting users in their "awareness."

The DN-1600W series, which specializes the interface for Wi-Fi-only functionality, allows for the easy construction of warning and alarm systems in a Wi-Fi environment without the need for LAN installation. It can be used in various locations, including offices, server rooms, medical and caregiving settings, as well as in conference rooms and management offices where personnel are not always present. Operating as a Wi-Fi client, it lights up or flashes lamps based on commands sent via applications (HTTP, MQTT) and activates the built-in buzzer to quickly inform surrounding workers and stakeholders of the "status." The newly announced DN-1600WD is a model equipped with DI (dry contact signal input) functionality, which is already available in the DN-1600W. It directly controls lamps and buzzers based on contact signals from external devices. Many devices and sensors can output state changes as contact signals, and by connecting this signal to the contact input terminals of the DN-1600WD, it can easily be added as a reporting device. For example, it can notify of "state changes (abnormalities in equipment or temperature, intrusion of individuals, etc.)" when combined with motion sensors, security cameras, temperature sensors, or door sensors.

Following the USB-compatible model, the first Wi-Fi-only model, "DN-1600W," will be available for sale starting December 9, 2020. This warning light works in conjunction with applications and service programs on PCs and servers, combining buzzer sounds and lamp flashing via Wi-Fi to quickly inform surrounding workers and stakeholders of the "status." For example, when linked with Merumaru-kun, it can notify the Doko Demo Keiko-chan installed on the same network with light and sound when a specific important email that should not be missed is received. It contributes to "awareness" in various settings, including offices, schools, tutoring centers, and commercial facilities.

In addition to a complete redesign of its appearance and size, new features have been added, such as a non-contact sensor for deactivating the alarm, considering hygiene measures in light of recent infectious disease countermeasures. The lamp offers a wider selection of color differentiation with seven multi-colors: red, yellow, green, blue, aqua, purple, and white.
