"Insert molding" is a method of integrally molding parts such as plastic and metal. The manufacturing process involves loading the insert into the mold, injecting resin to encase the insert in molten resin, and solidifying it to create a unified composite part. Additionally, a design is printed or vapor-deposited onto a base film, which is then inserted into the mold. Through the heat and pressure of injection molding, the design peels away from the base film and is transferred onto the molded product, a process known as in-mold molding.
