The "PFR-QS2/PFR-QD" is an earthquake-resistant hardware designed to prevent drawers from opening during an earthquake. The locking mechanism activates during vibrations ranging from small, rapid shakes to larger, slower sways (up to seismic intensity 5 weak). When the earthquake subsides, the lock is automatically released.
