"House Shoes" - Exterior Protective Material for Residential Foundations
House shoes, multicolored house shoes, CT barrier
Preventing fine cracks and surface contamination of the foundation, which had been problematic in residential foundation finishing, and suppressing the neutralization of the foundation concrete to improve the durability of the foundation.
"House Shoes" is a foundation protection method developed by Takeya Chemical Research Institute. By using a combination of "pre-mixed elastic polymer cement mortar" and "water-based elastic acrylic silicone paint," it excels in high weather resistance, low contamination, and crack-following properties. It can prevent fine cracks and surface contamination of the foundation, which have been problematic in residential foundation finishes, and suppress the neutralization of foundation concrete, thereby enhancing the durability of the foundation. *Conventional foundation finishes were completed with mortar brushing to eliminate defects such as honeycombing, pinholes, and step differences in the poured foundation concrete for aesthetic purposes. However, this method does not suppress the neutralization of the foundation concrete or prevent fine cracks caused by drying shrinkage. Additionally, cracks can occur in the mortar itself, and it tends to absorb moisture from the ground, leading to contamination.

basic information
■Neutralization Suppression The concrete foundation gradually changes from alkaline to neutral due to carbon dioxide in the air and acid rain, and neutralized concrete deteriorates. "House Shoes" have the effect of suppressing this neutralization and improving the durability of the foundation concrete. ■Efflorescence Prevention and Stain Resistance In the case of conventional brush-finished surfaces, problems such as "【1】 discoloration due to stains," "【2】 efflorescence of cement (white band-like discoloration)," and "【3】 adhesion of dirt" occur due to moisture drawn up from the ground. These issues cannot be resolved by washing with water. "House Shoes" eliminate these problems by preventing moisture absorption from the ground. Additionally, because they are covered with a silicone coating, dirt that adheres to the surface can be easily washed away. ■Crack Followability In conventional brush-finished surfaces, cracks in the foundation itself can lead to cracks appearing on the surface. However, by using an elastic underfiller, the material can follow the cracks, making it less likely for them to occur. *Contact information for this product Ozeki Chemical Products Sales Department TEL: 03-3297-3211
