The founder, Jukyu Matsumoto, shortly after the war, was commissioned by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry to serve as the first president of the Japan Paint Manufacturers Association, where he focused on revitalizing Japan's paint industry by conducting technology inspections in advanced countries like the United States.
