[Video of heart rate and breathing detection while driving now available] Using radar technology, biometric information (heart rate and breathing) of multiple people can be detected non-contact!
The 24GHz radar-based vital sign monitor (VSM = Vital Sign Monitoring) system is realized through Sakura Tech's unique MIMO FMCW radar module and software for VSM, allowing for long-term monitoring of multiple subjects' heart rates and breathing without any contact with the subjects. ■ Features - Vital information detection system using 24GHz MIMO radar "miRadar8" - Non-contact detection of vital information (heart rate and breathing) for multiple individuals. - Measurement through clothing and bedding without privacy invasion. - Simultaneous measurement of multiple targets possible due to MIMO-FMCW method (covers a range of ±45 degrees) - High sensitivity measurement enabled by the use of high-performance chipsets (Analog Devices Inc.) (measurable distance up to 5m) ● Advantages of the radar method - Non-contact measurement possible - Penetrates clothing and bedding - No brightness restrictions during measurement - No privacy invasion (does not use camera images) - Follows the movement of measurement targets For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Company information
Sakura Tech has been developing imaging sensors and high-performance microwave/mm-wave components using ultra-wideband technology since its founding in October 2008. In particular, we developed a compact and high-performance radar platform (miRadar(R)8) using Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology, which has been commercialized as an obstacle monitoring radar. Using the same radar platform, we developed an algorithm that can simultaneously measure the vital signs (heart rate, respiration) of multiple individuals, and we have been the first in the world to sell evaluation kits, receiving positive feedback from many manufacturers. Radio wave sensors have become essential in the fields of autonomous driving sensors, security aimed at creating a safe and secure society, and monitoring the elderly in an IoT society. Going forward, Sakura Tech will continue to provide and contribute to society with human-friendly, high-performance sensors using radio waves.
