In the fiscal year 2018, we delivered Japan's first variable speed limit sign capable of displaying 110 km/h on the New Tomei Expressway.
Until now, we had experience in producing speed limit signs with a three-digit display (100 Km/h), but the display of 110 Km/h became the first in the country as of May 2018. The development of the display board, the construction of a system to show two different speed displays depending on the type, such as for ordinary vehicles and large cargo, and the need to shorten the modification time for already delivered control machines were necessary. In addition to the development of new products, we were also recognized for completing the construction without accidents and without delays in a short period of time, and we received a letter of appreciation from Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited.

Company information
Hoshia Electric has established itself as a top manufacturer in various fields, including information display systems such as road information boards, industrial lighting known for its waterproof and explosion-proof features under the name "Water Pearl," tunnel lighting that began with the full-scale installation in the Kanmon Tunnel, and resin products represented by "Cutting Duct." As a new business, we started an electromagnetic noise countermeasure (EMC) product business in 1997 to address electromagnetic noise issues arising from digital devices. In the LED business, we successfully developed a blue light-emitting diode in April 2002 and a white light-emitting diode in December of the same year. Based on these technologies, we are actively expanding our business in the field of LED lighting fixtures, ranging from roads and tunnels to industrial lighting. On March 9, 2018, Hoshia Electric Co., Ltd. was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section. In April 2022, we transitioned to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our creative thinking and technological capabilities cultivated thus far to develop even more innovative products and strive for business expansion.
