CBS Japan is the exclusive sales agent for the analysis software "FRED" manufactured by the U.S. company Photon Engineering. The optical engineering software "FRED" is a general-purpose ray tracing software used in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, lighting, laser systems, and biomedical applications. Additionally, in recent years, we have been enhancing our capabilities in fields closely related to geometric optics and wave optics, such as telecommunications and image sensors. To create an environment where we can propose solutions that integrate both fields, we began our operations as the exclusive sales agent for the waveguide analysis software (FDTD, RCWA, FETD methods) manufactured by the UK company Photon Design, which is used in areas such as nanophotonics and fiber optics, starting in April 2020.
