[Image Processing] Signal Recognition & Driving Control *Demo video available
With just one PC, it is possible to perform both 'line recognition' and 'signal recognition' simultaneously, and control a Lego car via Bluetooth!
This is a technical appeal from a company specializing in image processing. We connect a camera mounted on LEGO via wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and perform both 'white line recognition' and 'signal recognition' simultaneously using a single PC, controlling the LEGO car via Bluetooth. The challenge in image processing is to solve how to achieve performance without compromising simplicity, thereby expanding the range of applications for the solutions. ■ Driving Control Considering the limited information available through wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth, as well as potential time lags, the key point is how simply we can achieve directional control. Just like a human driver, the system adjusts its course gradually by recognizing the white line—if it veers too far to the right, it corrects to the left, and vice versa. ■ Signal Recognition We took on the surprisingly challenging task of recognizing 'color' with a computer. The perception of 'color' changes based on the color components of the light source and the reflectivity of the object, both for human eyes and cameras. Additionally, we addressed the issue of not being able to know the characteristics of the light source in various environments, such as offices or exhibition venues, by incorporating a feature that allows the system to learn 'color' on-site.

Due to our focus on image processing, we have a wide range of applications, including "medical devices," "image processing for automobiles," "inspection equipment," and "wide dynamic range cameras," among others. We have prepared many implementation methods, so if you specify the image processing functions you would like to add to your products, we will consider the implementation specifications, schedule, and costs, and create a "proposal." For image processing software development, we provide implementation methods using algorithms for "learning," "recognition," "search," "image synthesis," and "defect repair," as well as device drivers for PCIe and ARM firmware. In hardware development, we have 27 years of experience with image processing boards using SoC FPGAs from Intel (Altera) and AMD (Xilinx), as well as FFT, labeling IP, image transformation, and more.
