"Anthracite" is a filtration material that is selected, crushed, and sieved from high-quality coal known as smokeless coal, resulting in a particle size distribution suitable for filtration. It has a characteristic density of about half that of sand, and even during backwashing, it does not mix with sand due to the difference in density. Therefore, it is widely used as a filtration material for multi-layer filtration, laid on top of filtration sand in water purification plants, pools, and other filtration tanks across the country.
