Oshin's IH-compatible processing began with the adaptation of aluminum pots and steak plates that cannot be used on IH stoves. In 1991, we received a request for IH processing of "donabe" (earthenware pot) for restaurants, and we thought that using carbon, which had not been used before as a heating element, could meet this demand. This marked the beginning of our development of IH donabe. At that time, there were no factories or specialized machines for processing ceramics or carbon that we needed. Therefore, we started with research and development, including the selection of processing machines and the development of tools.
