Types of polishing and their differences! We will introduce "cloth buff processing" and "single crystal processing" respectively.
Among resin processing, acrylic (PMMA) processing is often used as a decorative item at delivery destinations, and some products require polishing on the processed surface. Polishing (also known as grinding or mirror finishing) includes methods such as cloth buff polishing and single crystal processing, each with its own characteristics. First, "cloth buff processing" involves smoothing the processed surface after cutting, planing, and NC processing with sandpaper, and then applying the processed surface against a rotating cloth. The friction heat melts the surface of the processed area, smoothing out any irregularities before cloth buff processing and giving the surface a glossy finish. Additionally, "single crystal processing" uses a tool called a single crystal diamond tool in NC processing to finish the processed surface, providing it with a glossy appearance. 【Characteristics of Cloth Buff Processing】 ■ It can achieve the highest level of transparency in the final finish. ■ By performing cloth buff finishing on transparent acrylic to the extreme, it is possible to approach the material's transparency as closely as possible. ■ Even for products with stepped processing, if there is a suitable surface for cloth buffing, processing can be done. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Characteristics of Single Crystal Processing】 ■ With single crystal tools, mirror finishing can be achieved in a short time. ■ Processing can be done at a relatively lower cost compared to cloth buffing. ■ As long as the tool can access the area, mirror finishing can be performed on the internal surfaces of holes and cutouts. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
