The surface of boards up to 1300mm wide is sanded with paper ranging from #60 to #400 grit. By repeating this process several times, it is possible to thin the board itself or even out its thickness. Additionally, if a smooth surface is desired, the unevenness is shaved off to accommodate the substrate for decorative boards.
