It also allows for mutual simultaneous calls like a regular phone. ■ DCR Mode Direct communication between radios allows for calls without relying on other infrastructure, as long as the radio waves can reach (up to several kilometers in clear line-of-sight conditions). *To use DCR mode, registration procedures (3R) and licensing procedures (3B) are required in accordance with the Radio Law.
