GRP sheets are bonded and compressed together with one or more insulation layers to form an integrated structure, with three construction types available to suit different applications. The Basic construction features a simple GRP/PU/GRP insulation panel with a 20 mm wall thickness. The Classic construction combines the same GRP/PU/GRP configuration with support posts for a more rigid design. The Arctic construction uses a thicker insulation layer with adjustable wall thickness to deliver high thermal insulation performance in cold climates. For fire shelters, a layered construction combining GRP and rock wool is also available, providing optimal insulation and protection performance tailored to the application and installation environment.

The Classic Cabinet is a proven system utilizing a proprietary C-rail concept, with a GRP/PU/GRP sandwich structure (60 mm roof, 80 mm floor) and a load-distributing support post design for high durability. The Arctic Shelter is specifically designed for cold and extreme low-temperature environments, using thick insulation panels to maintain internal temperature control. Applications range from outdoor instrumentation system enclosures at oil, gas, and chemical plants to process equipment protection in extreme cold climates.

With a wall thickness of 20 mm, the integrally formed structure — in which GRP outer skins enclose a PU foam insulation layer — achieves both excellent thermal insulation and mechanical strength. The GRP sheets are formed with a glass fiber content of 35%, delivering high rigidity and weather resistance in a lightweight construction. This robust wall design is well suited for long-term use in harsh outdoor industrial environments.

  INTERTEC-Hess Basic Cabinet | Standard Specifications with Extensive Options to Meet Diverse Installation Requirements The Basic Cabinet's standard specifications feature GRP/PU/GRP sandwich construction for walls and doors (roof 20 mm, floor 25 mm), with stainless steel hardware as standard. Five height options are available — 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, and 2000 mm — allowing flexible configuration to suit the equipment volume and layout. The standard color is RAL 7032 (light grey), with RAL 7001 grey available under the "GO" antistatic option. Available options include the "GO" antistatic specification (recommended for hazardous and explosion-proof areas), special color finishes, and window installation.
