  The INTERTEC DIABOX is a GRP field instrumentation enclosure with a diagonal two-part construction. The lid opens diagonally forward through a wide angle, providing excellent maintenance access to internally mounted instruments such as differential pressure transmitters and valve manifolds. Six standard sizes are available — DIABOX 27 (custom-size capable), 87, 107, 137, 187, and 227 — and the DIABOX VARIO range accommodates special sizes and forms on request.

  Standard accessories for the DIABOX include an internal pipe support (2-inch), external pipe support (2-inch), and a mounting plate, enabling direct mounting to process pipework and simplifying instrument installation at field locations. Hardware material is hot-dip galvanised steel as standard, with stainless steel available as an option for corrosive environments. An Ex-p explosion-proof version to EN 50016 is also offered, covering use in hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2.

  The photograph shows a large number of DIABOX units mounted directly on outdoor process pipework at a natural gas plant — for example on orifice plates in flow lines. Each DIABOX houses differential pressure transmitters, valves, and filters as part of a flow measurement system. The foreground unit has its lid open at a wide diagonal angle, clearly demonstrating the ease of maintenance access to the internal instruments. Projects have also been delivered as pre-assembled systems combined with the INTERTEC Safelink instrumentation connection solution.

  The left photograph shows three differential pressure transmitters and valve manifolds housed together inside a DIABOX. The enclosure's generous internal volume, combined with the wide-opening diagonal lid, allows multiple instruments to be grouped compactly while maintaining individual access for maintenance. The right photograph shows the instrument tubing (impulse lines) and valve manifold detail, illustrating an application in a fiscal flow measurement system using a DIABOX VARIO (custom size). The DIABOX is widely used as a field instrumentation housing for differential pressure flow and level measurement at oil and natural gas plants.
