The standard size of the insert is a disk with a diameter of 5.0 mm and a length of 4.0 mm. If the material you are researching is shaped into a disk with a diameter of 5.0 mm and a length of 4.0 mm, you can use the E5 and E6 disk insert exchange tool (AFE6K050) to first attach it to the U-CUP and then set it onto the AFE5TQ050 or AFE5TQ050PK chip. Compared to the E4 series, using the U-CUP makes it easier to install and secure the disk insert. If you are using the AFMSRCE rotating ring disk electrode body, you will use the AFE6MB shaft. If you are using the WaveVortex10 rotating ring disk electrode body, it will connect directly to the fixed shaft.

E6 Series ChangeDisk RRDE Tips It is possible to repeatedly attach and detach the preferred disk material to the Pt, Au, or GC ring assembly for RRDE measurements. The E6 series is similar to the E4 series, featuring RRDE tips with interchangeable disk materials. Customers can prepare their research materials in the form of a disk insert with a diameter of 5.0 mm and a length of 1.5 to 4.0 mm, which can be easily set into the RRDE chip holder using the RDE disk material exchange tool (AFE6K050). The ring selection for the RRDE chip holder includes platinum, gold, and glassy carbon. The disks are the same as those in the E4 series, with PINE polished inserts of diameter 5.0 mm and length 4.0 mm (INSERT; platinum, gold, and carbon can be used). The combinations for the E6 series include electrode inserts, RRE chip holders, and AFE6MB shafts. Applications include research on fuel cells, corrosion studies, etc.

E8 Series - Industry's Highest Capture Rate Rotating Ring Disk Electrode Chip The E8 Series is a new product from PINE Corporation. Its feature is a high capture rate. The thickness of the ring increases the capture rate. It achieves the highest theoretical capture rate (43.9%) among commercially available RRDE chips. The separator (insulating ring) fixed between the disk and the ring is made of Teflon (PTFE), which is more hydrophobic than PEEK, preventing water droplets from spreading from the disk, as shown in the diagram on the right. Membrane modification on the disk is beneficial. The quartz glass cuvette-type spectroelectrochemical cell features a honeycomb electrode chip that includes on-board working electrode, counter electrode, and reference electrode screen-printed on a ceramic substrate (using conductive platinum or gold ink). The working electrode has holes in a honeycomb pattern that allow light to pass through the electrode. The active surface of the working electrode includes a metal coating along the inner walls of the holes. As light passes through the holes, the beam grazes the walls of each hole. Typically, the path length of electrochemically generated species is within the diffusion layer near the surface of the electrode. In our honeycomb design, the effective path length is the length of the honeycomb card (1.7 mm). As a result, molecules with low absorbance coefficients can be detected more easily.
