basic information
By measuring the concentration of SO2 in the exhaust gas against the known concentration of sulfur components in the fuel or oil, the oil consumption rate (g/h) can be calculated. All sulfur components containing sulfur bonds are converted to SO2 in the GasOxidizer, and low concentrations of SO2 starting from about 40 ppb are measured using IMR-MS.
