Preventing the destruction of water intake points due to typhoons and heavy rainfall through auxiliary waterways significantly reduces the burden of water source management.
Normally, it is a calm river with clear water flowing, but when landslides occur due to typhoons or heavy rainfall, the intake can be destroyed and buried with sediment. This has happened many times. Therefore, a secondary waterway was established at the intake dam to return river water to the main stream. A concrete protective wall was installed at the inflow section of the secondary waterway to protect the "WSS Water Screen" from direct impact by rocks.
