Cost reduction case studies in transportation, packaging, and logistics: Returnable boxes for upper boxes.
A design that can be used for both left and right! Here is an example of an improvement proposal for a delivery box for upper boxes.
Here is an example of a proposal for improving the reusable box for upper boxes. Upper boxes are packaging materials used to wrap products, and the shape of the products is complex. Additionally, there are concerns when packaging the workpieces, as they have a surface layer and cannot be laid down during packaging. There is also a part of the surface layer on the bottom, which raises the issue of how to secure the items inside the reusable box. In this case, we fixed the workpieces inside the box by using a specification that allows for the insertion of hard materials. Since the products have a left and right side, they are typically designated as L or R, but this time we have designed it to be compatible for both sides. [Case Study] ■ Issues - There is a surface layer, and the workpieces cannot be laid down during packaging. - There is also a part of the surface layer on the bottom, raising the question of how to secure it inside the reusable box. ■ Improvements - Fixed the workpieces inside the box by using a specification that allows for the insertion of hard materials. - Designed to be compatible for both left and right sides. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Whether it is [one-way] or [commuting], whether cushioning is necessary, and the effects related to static electricity... the optimal materials vary depending on the contents. We will propose improvements to the packaging format for the 2024 issue. Tohoku Ueno Co., Ltd. will utilize the many packaging examples we have cultivated so far, along with various new materials developed in recent years to address environmental issues, to offer the best combination. We will consider all aspects, including cost, material selection, processing methods, and environmental factors, to meet our customers' needs. We will conduct drop tests using the drop test machine from Ransomont, analyze the shock waveforms with test partners, and propose the optimal cushioning packaging design.
