This is an introduction to a case where a test piece was immersed in a sample solution, and the degree of discoloration of the metal (corrosion level) was observed. This was conducted to evaluate the corrosiveness of water-soluble cutting oils on metals. The test piece was polished and partially immersed in the test solution, covered, and left to stand. Afterward, the degree of discoloration was observed, and the corrosion level was determined.
