It will reliably contribute to crack prevention in concrete structures.
Concrete structures are subject to deformation due to factors such as hydration heat during setting and hardening, temperature changes caused by external air temperature, drying shrinkage, and external forces. When such deformations are restrained, cracks occur. The corrosion of reinforcing steel due to decreased water tightness from these cracks is expected to become a significant issue for the durability of concrete structures in the future. To improve waterproofing and prevent corrosion of reinforcing steel, we have developed a new functional inducing joint material called ID Joint.

basic information
Features 1. It is possible to induce cracks at a predetermined position where the induced joint material is installed. Additionally, internal cracks can be reliably created at the center of the member through the induced slits installed in the main member. 2. The side with the rebar is enhanced for waterproofing with butyl rubber that has good adhesion to the cover concrete. 3. The installation of the induced joint can be easily secured to the rebar with fixed fittings, preventing any misalignment or play during concrete pouring.
