Fluorine rubber is considered the most expensive type of synthetic rubber, exhibiting excellent performance in heat resistance, oil resistance, high-temperature compression set, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance. In particular, it is the most durable among synthetic rubbers in terms of heat resistance, demonstrating resistance to continuous use at around 200°C. Common types of fluorine rubber include vinylidene fluoride-based fluorine rubber (FKM), and for applications requiring resistance to organic acids, ketones, esters, and amines—chemicals to which FKM does not have resistance—there is tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber (FEPM), and even higher-performing perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) to meet various demands based on application.
