[Application Example] An example of radar wave measurement in weather radar using the trigger function of a signal analyzer.
When attempting to measure the modulation signals of weather radar using conventional spectrum analyzers, there were instances where measurements could not be made or data was missed due to the very short pulse width and brief occurrence time. As a tool to address these challenges, our handheld signal analyzer (MSA558) and 5GHz band antenna (M406) can measure the radio waves of weather radar with high precision. The hardware trigger of the MSA558 (IF level, power, external) has a time resolution of up to 14.7ns, significantly reducing the chances of missing intermittent signals. Additionally, it is capable of measuring 5GHz band wireless LAN (Note 1), which can be used, for example, to verify the DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) function during radar detection, which requires wireless LAN communication to cease within 10 seconds and switch to another channel. 【Product Introduction】 ■ Signal Analyzer MSA558 ■ Portable Antenna M406 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
