[Application Example] Simple Measurement Method for Impedance
The input and output of high-frequency circuits are typically required to be 50Ω. While it is possible to measure using an impedance analyzer or other measurement methods during verification, using the MVS300 allows for easy and simple measurements. 【Product Introduction】 ■ Handheld Spectrum Analyzer MSA338TG ■ Handheld Spectrum Analyzer MSA438TG ■ VSWR Bridge MVS300 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Measurement Principle】 The WR bridge measures the power reflected from the DUT (Return Loss). In a perfectly matched 50Ω system, reflections are minimal, resulting in a larger loss. Conversely, when the DUT port is short-circuited, almost all power is reflected, resulting in a return loss of 0dB. Generally, if the return loss is below -14dB, the transmission efficiency is considered to be over 95%, indicating that it is matched at 50Ω. 【Measurement Method】 1. Connect the MSA338TG/MSA438TG to the MVS300 and perform normalization at the desired frequency. Please do not connect the DUT at this time. 2. Connect the DUT and measure the return loss. 【System Configuration】 ■ Handheld Spectrum Analyzer MSA338TG ■ Handheld Spectrum Analyzer MSA438TG ■ VSWR Bridge MVS300 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
