【Background Leading to the Introduction】 Prior to the opening of the Toyosu Market, the installation of vehicle gates was considered to secure parking spaces for market-related personnel and to prevent general visitors from entering the parking area designated for market stakeholders. 【Proposal】 We proposed a certification system called the "Touchless Gate System" to separate authorized vehicles and specific vehicles from outside vehicles. This system allows vehicles to pass through the gate without stress, similar to a smart ETC, resulting in minimal time loss. We believed it would be the most effective solution for market stakeholders who face high traffic and time constraints. 【Achievements】 The Touchless Gate System was implemented in Block 5 of the produce area, while the Touchless Light System was introduced in Blocks 6 and 7 of the fresh food area.

A touchless gate system installed at the entrance and exit of the produce area. A touchless reader (receiver) can be seen on the left side. It consists of a "receiving antenna," "signal light," and "transmitting antenna" from top to bottom. The transmitting antenna emits UHF radio waves that are read by the tags on vehicles equipped with touchless cards, the receiving antenna captures this information, the signal light displays a check or cross, and this system controls the opening and closing of the gate.
