It is hoped that ocean plastic will lead to solutions to the problem!
Biodegradability refers to the property of a compound being broken down by the action of microorganisms into inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide and water. To reduce the environmental impact of microplastics, the introduction of biodegradable plastics, aside from paper materials, is gaining attention. However, there are challenges, such as the fact that very few materials currently biodegrade in aquatic environments, making it difficult to recycle them together with conventional plastics. In the future, it is hoped that marine plastics will contribute to solving these issues. 【Biodegradability】 ■Composting - Paper: Decomposes - Polylactic acid: Decomposes ■Soil environment - Paper: Decomposes - Polylactic acid: Does not decompose ■Water environment - Paper: Decomposes - Polylactic acid: Does not decompose *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
