Aiming for a 40% reduction in labor costs! Utilizing a self-order system on the factory line.
As a case study for the order terminal "Menu-kun" that our company handles, we would like to introduce Isuzu Motors Limited (Kanagawa). Isuzu Motors Limited, which manufactures commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses and operates its own factories, began a trial introduction of the tabletop order system "Menu-kun" in March 2019 to improve logistics in the production area. As a result, the round-trip time and frequency within the factory were reduced, leading to improved parts supply speed, as well as a reduction in labor costs equivalent to two workers and a decrease in forklift operating numbers. [Effects] - Since the system allows operators to simply touch the part number of the missing items, the data is sent to the receiving terminal managed by the logistics personnel, eliminating the need for them to check for shortages, thus shortening the time spent retrieving cards. - The part numbers that have been ordered change color over time, making it visually clear when there are delays in parts delivery, which facilitates prioritizing supply. - The previously dispersed parts storage areas have also been centralized, among other benefits. *For more details, please download the PDF (product catalog) or contact us.
