Morphology-controlled α-alumina filler with pores inside the particles.
Alpha-alumina exhibits excellent properties such as high thermal conductivity and volume resistivity, but it has issues with high powder density (specific gravity) and high Mohs hardness. Aero-alumina is a type of alpha-alumina that has not undergone densification of crystals with pores within the particles, based on boehmite with controlled particle size and shape. Compared to general alpha-alumina, it features lower powder density and is softer. It can be used as a thermal conductive filler, reinforcement material, polishing material, and ceramic raw material. 【Features】 - Alpha-alumina with pores within the particles - Lower powder density than general alpha-alumina - Control of particle size and shape is possible - Suitable for thermal conductive fillers, reinforcement materials, polishing materials, and ceramic raw materials *We have prepared a PDF document that describes an example of aero-alumina. Kawai Lime Industry Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing and selling quicklime, dolomite, and hydrated lime at its three domestic locations since its founding in 1885, with the main production taking place at its port factory, where it produces and sells the alumina hydrate, bauxite "Cerashur." The company is also actively engaged in the development of functional inorganic materials that add value based on lime and bauxite. As the Fourth Industrial Revolution progresses, we will incorporate this technology into production and quality control, continually challenging ourselves to achieve optimal manufacturing and sales.
