The transmission loss of the flexible sound barrier CISILENT is Rw=25dB, meeting the requirements of the German guidelines for road noise barriers (ZTW-Lsw 88). Moreover, when comparing the weight per unit area, it is significantly lighter than conventional sound barriers. Solid components, even if they have the same mass per unit area as CISILENT, have inferior sound insulation effects because their high rigidity causes sound to hit the surface and disperse again. In contrast, the flexible CISILENT exhibits sound insulation effects commensurate with its mass.

CISILENT is a product of the German company CALENBERG. It is modular in design, allowing for tailored solutions to various spatial requirements. A flexible soundproof wall for outdoor use, made from a high-strength three-layer polyester fabric, is designed to be bag-like to accommodate filling materials. The coating treatment repels moisture, dirt, and microorganisms. The fabric can be printed on, making it ideal for advertising purposes. Filling media: Even without any filling media, the cover alone provides a sound transmission loss of 16dB.
