The inspection of motor windings is changing. From one-turn shorts to detecting defects in the rotor assembly state!
The applied voltage has been increased to a maximum of 4200V, and the ST4030 has been reborn as the ST4030A! ● By quantifying the response waveform, a one-turn short can be identified. ● Impulse testing can be performed in the rotor assembly state based on LC and RC values. ● The discharge detection function (optional) accurately detects pseudo-shorts. ● Captures and does not miss subtle changes in the waveform with high-speed sampling × high resolution × long waveform. ● Reduces variation in applied voltage, achieving high accuracy in defect detection. ● Complies with the insulation breakdown voltage test (BDV) required by standards.

basic information
● The numerical representation of the response waveform allows for the detection of a one-turn short. In conventional impulse testing (layer short testing), the judgment was made by calculating the area difference between the specified A-B cursor interval's "master waveform" and "test waveform." With the ST4030A, by quantifying the response waveform, it is possible to determine defects that are difficult to judge based on area differences as either good or defective products. *For the motors that can be detected, please refer to the "Testable Inductance Range" on the last page of the catalog. However, depending on the test conditions and judgment criteria, it may also be possible to make judgments, so please consult us for prior confirmation with a demo unit. ● Testing is possible in the rotor assembly state. When the rotor is assembled to the motor stator, the stray capacitance changes, making it impossible to test with the conventional waveform comparison method. The LC and RC values of the quantified response waveform differ in distribution between good and defective products even if the response waveform changes, allowing for the establishment of judgment areas for testing even in the rotor assembly state. ● The discharge detection function (optional) allows for high-precision detection of pseudo-shorts. Among the high-frequency components appearing in the response waveform, noise components that appear throughout the entire waveform are removed, and only the partial discharge portions are extracted for judgment.
