Group delay and phase measurement methods for frequency conversion devices with built-in local signal sources.
Explains high-accuracy measurement methods for frequency conversion devices. Enables evaluation of relative phase.
This application note explains high-accuracy measurement techniques for mixers and frequency conversion devices with built-in local signals using the R&S ZVA. The key technology of this measurement method lies in applying a two-tone signal from a network analyzer to the frequency conversion device. By measuring the phase difference of the two signals at the input and output ports, it becomes possible to evaluate the group delay and relative phase between the output and input ports.
