Interior Material "MATSU BLUE Indigo WOOD JAPAN" Catalog
Prairie Homes MATSU BLUE Indigo WOOD JAPAN (Matsu Blue Wood Japan)
Perfectly compatible with vintage style and industrial taste! We have transformed the blue discoloration of Shinshu-grown red pine into a strong design feature.
The red pine wood, which was often avoided for its aesthetic detriment as the so-called "blue wood" that turns blue or blue-gray during the drying and manufacturing process, has been reinterpreted to utilize its color and patterns as a design element in flooring, interior wall materials, and custom materials. It pairs exceptionally well with popular vintage styles and industrial tastes. This is a jointly developed product with Masaki Ozawa from Lyo de Home (Sapporo City, Hokkaido). The materials used are produced through a collaborative project between industry, government, and academia aimed at revitalizing forestry and conserving forests in Nagano Prefecture.
