Company information
Computers are tools that assist human thought and culture. Since its founding in 1980, Personal Media has consistently pursued the ideal of computers that truly serve as personal media, developing and commercializing software with high originality and foresight. In the 1980s, we released the database software "Iris," in the 1990s the BTRON specification OS "B-right," and in the 2000s unique products such as the character culture platform "Chokanji." We also publish books introducing new computer technologies and cultures, including the specialized magazine "TRONWARE." We are also participating in the TRON project, which is essential for the development of devices that will realize an IoT society where computers are embedded in everything. This includes the embedded development platform "T-Kernel Solution" and related application systems, which are computing technologies that can only be handled by our company. Personal Media will continue to pursue "tools that are useful to each individual = 'personal media'" and will challenge the development of new products and businesses.
