"AISE" is a lightweight concrete that can be recycled without the use of organic solvents, by carefully selecting and choosing the materials for its formulation. The materials used include cement (blast furnace cement type B and early strength cement type B) and silica fume. Since it utilizes recycled materials, it helps reduce the environmental impact. An example of lightweight aggregate is "Glasera Balloon," a recycled lightweight aggregate made from waste glass that prevents contamination with heavy metals such as arsenic.
