"Funkle" is a special resin extrusion product with a very low glass transition temperature. It is a product with very high temperature dependence, having a glass transition temperature of 40°C, at which the resin softens and can be processed into any shape. When cooled with water or similar substances, it solidifies and maintains that shape. (Note: It becomes brittle below 0°C.) With a specific gravity of 0.84, it is lightweight and, being an olefin-based resin, it shows resistance to acids and alkalis.
