Achieving a 50% reduction in product costs! Introducing a case study on improvements in nut fastening.
At Yokoyama Seiko Co., Ltd., we undertook a technical challenge for cost reduction by improving the "nut riveting" process. Typically, after production by pressing, nuts were attached during the welding process to create the final product. However, we successfully challenged ourselves by installing a nut riveting unit within a progressive die, supplying nuts with a parts feeder, and performing simultaneous riveting within the progressive die. Additionally, we achieved a 50% reduction in product costs. [Features] - Installation of a nut riveting unit within the progressive die - Supply of nuts using a parts feeder - Successful simultaneous riveting within the progressive die - Achieved a 50% reduction in product costs *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
