In the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, we provided fuel supply and delivered relief supplies.
Our company dispatched disaster response staff to the site on the 16th at the request of Kumamoto Prefecture. We delivered fuel using our own tank trucks to designated public institutions, major telecommunications carriers, and major broadcasting stations in Kumamoto City, and continued our activities thereafter. Furthermore, on the 20th, we received a request for cooperation regarding fuel supply from Kumamoto Prefecture and Kyushu Electric Power. Starting from midnight on the same day, we provided fuel for generator trucks based in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and continued our work until power was restored. We received words of gratitude from Kyushu Electric Power, stating, "We hope to continue relying on Shuwa's mobility for fuel supply," and we were awarded a letter of appreciation dated June 13.
