We would like to introduce a case study of a large-diameter pipe jacking construction under deep depth and high water pressure, commissioned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Sewerage. This project involves the construction of the Nishi-Nippori mainline inflow channel (inner diameter 4,000mm) connecting the existing Nishi-Nippori mainline shaft (inner diameter 12m, depth 35m) and the Nishi-Nippori pump station. 【Project Overview】 ■ Project Name: Construction of Nishi-Nippori Mainline Inflow Channel at Higashi-Ogiku Purification Center ■ Location: 7-2 Higashi-Ogiku, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo (within Higashi-Ogiku Purification Center) ■ Client: Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Sewerage ■ Contractor: Wakatsuki Construction Co., Ltd. ■ Method: Earth pressure balance jacking method ■ Pipe Diameter: Ф4000mm (RC pipe type 70N/mm²) ■ Length of Jacking: L = 32.3m ■ Cover Depth: H = 29.8m ■ Soil Type: Sandy gravel (maximum gravel diameter approximately 300mm) ■ Hydrostatic Pressure Head: Approximately 30m ■ Construction Period: April 2012 to January 2013 *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
