There is no need to lower the subfloor like with traditional tatami. It excels in stain resistance, anti-dust mite and anti-mold properties, and light resistance. It comes in a slim size (1mm thick) that can be neatly stored in a closet. ★ Made from high-performance washi paper, it resolves the dissatisfaction with traditional tatami. * It uses machine-made washi paper, not handmade washi made from kozo or mitsumata. ★ It suppresses the growth of mold and dust mites.
