The "Power Assist Module" is a product that connects between the battery and the load, allowing it to supply the intermittent high current that was previously supplied directly from the battery to the load, using the EDLC module. This significantly reduces the load on the battery. Without PAM, the lead battery reached its lifespan after a cycle count equivalent to one year, but by using PAM, the degradation of the lead battery was almost nonexistent.
