Adopting a truss structure to create a spacious large space! Case study of a wooden prefabrication factory.

We will introduce examples of "system construction" that allow for the selection of suitable roofs, walls, and structures based on the purpose and size of factories and warehouses, as well as regional environments, achieving short construction periods and low costs. In a wood precutting factory located in Ibaraki Prefecture, a truss structure was adopted for the roof framework, creating a spacious large space with a span of 90 meters in the gable direction and only one middle column (54m + 36m). This design offers high layout flexibility and has been well received by clients. The steel frame features a vibrant red color for the columns and a refreshing blue color (the image color of Polatech) for the beams.
