We propose the construction of a plant factory with low-cost and high-level hygiene management.
Our VitaminFarm project started in 2013 to demonstrate the stable supply of vegetables from a vitamin arm plant factory, with the aim of constructing facilities for customers investing in other regions. We began cultivation in May 2014 and have cooperated in the construction and operation of various scales of factories. The VitaminFarm project can build factories equipped to grow vegetables tailored to the high standards required by the ready-to-eat, dining, and retail sectors. We can adjust the weight, size, color, and shape of the vegetables. Additionally, for stores that require display effects, we design the interior accordingly. We can effectively showcase the vegetables illuminated by lighting within the building.

●Overview 1 - Layout The cultivation shelves are designed to match the ceiling height while considering workability. Materials are selected for corrosion resistance, and the interior is designed for regular cleaning, using flooring suitable for food factories with low microbial risk. ●Overview 2 - Air Conditioning and Lighting Equipment The cultivation room controls temperature, humidity, CO2 concentration, and airflow to maintain an optimal environment year-round. Light sources can be a combination of red LEDs, blue LEDs, white LEDs, or fluorescent lights. Energy efficiency and workability must be considered in the selection. The cultivation nutrient solution is continuously monitored and automatically controlled to maintain optimal pH and EC values. ●Overview 3 - Centralized Management The environmental conditions of the cultivation room and the cultivation nutrient solution are monitored 24/7 through a multi-sensing network and centrally managed by a PLC. With internet connectivity, monitoring and operation from a different site is possible, as well as remote monitoring via network cameras. ●Overview 4 - Zoning To achieve a high level of hygiene management, zoning is implemented, and sanitary facilities are designed to a level comparable to food processing plants. ●Overview 5 - Water Quality Management ●Construction Proposal Standalone plant factory / Plant factory adjacent to food processing factory / Plant factory adjacent to retail store / Test plant adjacent to general building.

Centralized Management 1 The indoor environment of the cultivation room and the cultivation nutrient solution are monitored 24 hours a day through a multi-sensing network. Based on this data, it is designed to be centrally managed by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). By establishing an internet environment such as a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or FTP server, it is also possible to monitor and operate from a different site.

Centralized Management 2 If there is sufficient bandwidth in the communication line, it is also possible to install multiple network cameras using the same infrastructure for remote monitoring.
