No. 465 Automatic Hoover Marla (Hoover Marler)
Catalog No. 465, Model H3
This is a device that performs the mixing of pigments and vehicles under certain conditions during the paint or ink formulation stage of testing.
When converting pigments into paints or inks, a vehicle (dispersing agent) is added and ground in, but there are various methods for this process. This machine is specifically designed for testing based on JIS K 5101, and it incorporates a small amount of pigment and vehicle between two glass plates, which are rotated while applying a load with weights to facilitate the mixing process. Therefore, the setting of test conditions such as load and rotation speed can be easily adjusted depending on the type of sample.
