The "ESCON Catalog (Association Edition)" is a catalog created by the ESCON Association, established primarily for the purpose of technical research and dissemination using ultra-high-strength synthetic fiber reinforced concrete (ESCON), as well as for the mutual improvement of technology among members and information exchange. ESCON was developed to create the quality of new materials, new construction methods, and new design standards based on the concepts of high efficiency and productivity in response to an aging population and declining birthrate society. It is designed to be user-friendly and easy to use, boasting not only ultra-high compressive strength but also ultra-high tensile strength, and exceptional durability that is impermeable to air and water, as well as high fire resistance, in addition to resistance against salt damage and freeze damage. For architectural and civil engineering structures, thin, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing designs are desired, with a strong demand for precast components wherever possible.
