When wet screening fresh concrete to estimate the unit water content of the concrete using its mortar, differences arise between the moisture of the mortar adhering to aggregates that remain at 5mm and the moisture of the mortar that is 5mm or smaller, with the moisture of the mortar adhering to the 5mm aggregates being greater. Ultimately, it is necessary to correct that difference, and this device was developed to ensure stable mortar quality when determining that correction factor.
