"Tomaru-kun" is an auxiliary device designed to safely and quickly stop vehicles that accidentally enter a work zone during road construction and other regulations. Using the principle of leverage, it lifts the front wheels of the intruding vehicle when brakes are applied upon collision, and utilizes the vehicle's weight along with the friction resistance between a special rubber attached to the braking surface and the road surface to forcibly bring the vehicle to a stop in the shortest distance.
