We would like to introduce a case where our seismic-resistant water storage tank for drinking water was installed as an emergency water supply tank in Kashiwa City, Nara Prefecture. In Kashiwa City, there have been a total of 7 seismic-resistant water storage tanks for drinking water installed, of which 3 are manufactured by our company. In the case of a typical horizontal cylindrical tank, not only is a larger construction yard required, but it was also anticipated that costs would increase for foundation work and earth retention work. Therefore, our vertical cylindrical product using the caisson method, which does not require a long opening, was adopted. Particularly at Kamata Elementary School, there were restrictions due to a narrow delivery route, but safety was also taken into consideration, allowing the advantages of the caisson method to be utilized.
